Cosmetic Injectables are becoming more and more popular across the board. It seems that every other person you speak to these days has either already had treatment, is seriously considering it or at least knows a handful of friends who have taken the plunge. So it seems that antiwrinkle injections and fillers are no longer reserved for the more mature or rich and famous. And now with the dawn of amazing inventions like ZipPay and Afterpay, we no longer have to wait to get what we desire! We are becoming more and more open about our ventures into the world of cosmetic injectables – even posting about treatments on instagram and giving shout outs of appreciation to our Cosmetic Injectors! Yay!!! So, go ahead and broach the subject with your friends and work buddies – I bet there are a whole heap of them who already have a cosmetic injector on their Christmas card list.
These days anti-wrinkle treatments and fillers are trending towards the more natural look – of course there are some out there who are a little over filled or a touch too frozen. However, believe me most of us don’t have the budget to ‘overfill’ with fillers. It costs a ridiculous amount of money to look that overdone! If injected correctly, by a highly trained practitioner anti-wrinkle injections and fillers can deliver some amazing and natural results. If you walk out of my clinic and you get asked what work you have had done, I have failed at my job – my aim as a cosmetic injector on the Sunshine Coast is to achieve a refreshed, rejuvenated more confident you but with out looking plastic or expressionless.
So, what can be achieved with cosmetic injectables? Anti-wrinkle injections are used for a variety of treatments including relaxing muscles to correct a gummy smile, or a sad looking down turned mouth. They can be placed in the masseter muscle to treat TMJ disorder, also having the awesome effect of slimming the jawline. Injected into the platysmal bands it can help with a lower face lift (the Nefertiti treatment), injected along the lip line it can offer a ‘lip flip’ resulting in a fuller looking lip. It can even help with excessive sweating, and of course antiwrinkle injections are used for the relaxing of muscles to reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
Fillers are used for plumping, hydrating, structure, volume loss and filling – Cheeks, temples, scars, lips, noses, chins, jaws. There is little a filler cannot achieve – in the right hands of course.
Cosmetic injections are certainly no longer taboo and every Tom, Dick and Harriet seem to be giving it a go. Despite this, don’t go in blind. Do your research, ensure you know your injector is qualified and has experience. Ask for before and after pics, stalk their instagram and facebook and ask around for recommendations – there is nothing more comforting than having a trusted friend try before YOU buy haha! Make use of the offer of free consultations and get to know and feel comfortable with your injector before letting them take a needle to your face.
Try to push images of Jocylen Wildenstein (Catwoman) and the girls from MAFS out of your heads and simply find the right injector for you. Most injectors want to be known for their natural looking results and a less is more approach – This is certainly the philosophy I resonate with.
